About the project
The Events Security Committee works under Dubai Police, bringing together public and private entities and event organizers to secure events across Dubai. Since 2008 it has secured thousands of events, from Dubai Marathon and the Dubai World Cup to New Year's Eve at Burj Khalifa. We designed and built its new website and mobile app in Arabic and English, giving visitors one place to find upcoming events and everything they need to attend them safely.The goal
The committee wanted the public to have one trusted source for events in Dubai: when and where each event takes place, how to get there and what to know before going. The site also had to show the scale of the committee's work and the partners behind it.The challenge
The site had to handle a busy calendar of exhibitions, concerts, sports and national celebrations, and make every event easy to find in seconds, in both languages. Safety information needed to read as clear and calm, not alarming. The design had to carry the authority of Dubai Police while still feeling welcoming to residents and tourists.
